DIVING

We aim to assist groups of qualified divers to visit and develop diving around Tiree.  We can provide guests with air bottle refills and drying facilities, and plan to hire bottles and weights in the near future. We will assist groups that wish to explore the mainly untouched diving available directly from our locality and from other locations such as Coll, or Skerryvore lighthouse.

We plan to stock a range of common spares should they be needed to ensure you can continue to dive without worrying about being stuck for equipment.  There are plenty of locations suitable for shore diving all around the island, with islets, outcrops, seacliffs and caves to explore.  There are also numerous recorded classic wrecks identified around Tiree and Coll, but please note use of a dive boat would be necessary to reach all of them. We plan to develop our support for the Seasearch organisation, see - www.seasearch.org.uk. This voluntary project aims to map out the various types of sea bed found in the near-shore zone around the whole of the British Isles. Recording what lives in each area, establishing the richest sites for marine life, the sites where there are problems and the sites which need protection. 

We plan to log dives and forwarding data to the monitoring system. This is a unique opportunity to forward the details of dives to become part of a nationally recognised environmental database of scientific data . We will be exploring, surveying and monitoring the local marine environment off Tiree on an ongoing basis. We are hoping to develop this service and are willing to negotiate special rates for diving expedition groups that add value to our knowledge of dive sites around Tiree.

KITESPORTS

We are both powerkite enthusiasts and whenever there is time. we will be found indulging in our passion of kitesurfing, landboarding and buggying. We will be stocking typical consumables as well as spares for Ozone and Peter Lynn ranges of kite equipment. If we have any space left we hope to stock a selection of branded clothing from our dealerships and at some time in the future our own distinctive design on a range of clothing and promotional material.

Spoilt for choice? Our resort is situated within walking distance of some of the most beautiful unspoilt (and mainly deserted) beaches in the UK. For example, our nearest beach is the ‘Maze’ – a stunning  half mile arc of hard white sand and turquoise sea with some of the best wind statistics you could dream of.
